Chocolate Malt Cake recipe for Lizzie!

June 25, 2010

Hi all!

My friend, Liz, whom I just adore, inquired about a cake recipe that would taste like Maltesers (a Mars company product especially popular in the UK, Canada, and Australia). Maltesers are much like our American Whoppers.  Basically, the are a spherical, chocolate-covered, malt-flavored ball.  Yum!

Liz’s inquiry intrigued me, so off I went to search some of our favorite baking sites to see what I could find for her.  I checked out BakeSpace, All Recipes, ChowHound, Cakes We Bake, and many more before I stumbled across this recipe, posted on The Baking Pan.  It is from Paula Deen’s Holiday Baking 2007 magazine.  I figured if it’s from Paula Deen, it MUST be good – even if it does kill you shortly after you eat it!  😉

So, here you go, Lizzie!  Let me know how it turns out when you make it!

Happy baking!

Christina
