Current project

February 22, 2010

We are putting the finishing touches on a cake for a local elementary school that is hosting a Tricky Tray auction this Thursday. We were asked to make a cake that incorporated the school colors and logo. This is what we’ve done so far. The logo will be placed on top of the cake with a small art easel when it hardens. All accents are fondant and gumpaste tinted to match the school colors of royal blue and gold.

Two extremely talented women making the most creative, but most importantly, delicious desserts. It was difficult to cut into the cake, as it is truly a work of art, but well worth the destruction. πŸ™‚ Moist, and beyond just the basic “cake edible”. It was delicious. It was not simply the end-of-the-party cake, it was the centerpiece. Thank you!!!

Thanks, Marli! That is often the lament of many customers…deconstructing the cake, but they are always glad they did! πŸ™‚

Beautiful cake! All of those little details are amazing – and what better than edible art :)!
